How to Play Backgammon

Objective: Move all your checkers around the board and bear them off before your opponent.

Rules:

• 24 triangles (points) on the board. White moves clockwise, Black counter-clockwise.
• Roll two dice each turn. Move checkers by the numbers shown.
• You can move to an empty point, your own checkers, or a point with one opponent (blot).
• Landing on a blot sends it to the bar. That checker must re-enter before moving others.
• When all checkers are in your home board, you start bearing off.
• First to bear off all 15 checkers wins.
