📖 Frequency Guide

Sub-bass (20-60 Hz): Deep rumble, felt more than heard. Kick drums, pipe organs.

Bass (60-250 Hz): Foundation of music. Bass guitar, tuba, lower piano notes.

Low Mid (250-500 Hz): Warmth and body. Lower brass, cello, vocals (fundamental).

Mid (500 Hz-2 kHz): Presence and clarity. Most instruments, speech intelligibility.

Upper Mid (2-4 kHz): Attack and definition. Snare crack, guitar bite, vocals (consonants).

Presence (4-6 kHz): Clarity and edge. Cymbals, sibilance, string detail.

Brilliance (6-20 kHz): Air and sparkle. Hi-hats, triangles, harmonics.

In Quiz Mode, match the displayed note name to the correct frequency. Green = correct, Red = wrong. Higher scores for faster answers!

Frequency slider to change pitch (20-2000 Hz)

Waveform selector: Sine (pure), Square (rich), Sawtooth (buzzy), Triangle (soft), Noise (full spectrum), Chord (harmony)

FFT size selector for resolution vs speed tradeoff

Smoothing control for display responsiveness

Hover over canvas to sweep frequency

Display Modes:

Bars: Traditional vertical frequency bars

Line: Smooth frequency curve with peak markers

Waterfall: Scrolling spectrogram (time vs frequency)

Circular: Polar frequency display

3D Spectrogram: Pseudo-3D terrain view

Tips: Try matching the visualized peak with the played frequency. Use with headphones for best accuracy. Practice identifying note names by their frequencies!
