Shadow Ronin: Development Notes & Architecture
Shadow Ronin: Cyber Blade is a 3D third-person cyber-ninja action hack-and-slash developed according to the Procedural 3D Big Games Standard (Godogen / img2threejs pipeline).
Zero-Download Procedural Geometry
The cyber-ronin protagonist, all 4 enemy shinobi classes, and all 6 monumental bosses are constructed entirely via code in Three.js — requiring 0 KB of external 3D model downloads. Every character features articulated limbs, chrome hydraulic actuators, bevelled armor plates, glowing plasma apertures, and procedural canvas materials.
Campaign Progression & Monumental Bosses
The campaign spans 30 waves across the high-altitude rooftops of Neo-Tokyo:
- Wave 5: Cyber-Oni Demon Brute (Massive 5-meter demon with Kanabo energy club & ground slams)
- Wave 10: Kunoichi Shadow Mistress (Teleporting dual-kama assassin with illusion clones)
- Wave 15: Mecha-Tengu Sky Slayer (Winged aerial boss with razor feather missile barrages)
- Wave 20: Gorgon Spider Empress (Colossal 8-legged mech queen with laser carapace)
- Wave 25: Lord Kurogane: Cyber Shogun (Monumental bipedal shogun with towering Odachi)
- Wave 30: Orochi Void Dragon Mech (Eight-headed serpentine celestial dragon mech)
Master Audio Buses & Performance
Features dual Master Gain Buses (musicMasterGain, sfxMasterGain) for 100% hard muting of procedural cyber-phonk synth music and sound effects, alongside zero-allocation object pooling for all projectiles, shockwaves, and spark VFX.
