Cyber Drift 2088: Development Notes & Architecture

Cyber Drift 2088: Neon Pursuit is an ultra-high-speed 3D arcade combat pursuit game developed according to the Procedural 3D Big Games Standard (Godogen / img2threejs pipeline).

Zero-Download Procedural Geometry

The player's hoverbike, cyborg rider, all 4 syndicate pursuit vehicles, and all 6 monumental boss cruisers are constructed entirely with procedural Three.js geometry — requiring 0 KB of external 3D model downloads. Every vehicle features bevelled armor plates, counter-rotating gyroscopic turbine rings, chrome hydraulic assemblies, and glowing emissive plasma nozzles.

Campaign Progression & Boss Checkpoints

The game spans 30 progressively harder highway sectors. Every 5 sectors, players encounter a monumental corporate battle cruiser:

Zero-Stutter Performance Architecture

To prevent browser garbage collection stutter and runtime shader compilation freezes, the engine pre-compiles all materials via renderer.compile(scene, camera) before gameplay begins and utilizes pre-allocated zero-allocation object pools for all projectiles, missiles, and particle effects.
